Connect GitHub
Connect GitHub so Agent C can open pull requests with approved changes on your website’s repository. Optional, and you always merge.
Do I need it?
Only if you want Agent C to put approved changes into your website’s code for you. Without GitHub, Agent C still finds and drafts every fix, and you publish it yourself.
What Agent C can do
GitHub asks you to allow access to your profile and to your repositories, including write access. Agent C uses it to:
- read the files of the repository you choose,
- create a branch and commit the approved change to it,
- open a pull request for you to review.
Agent C does not merge pull requests. You merge them on GitHub.
Connect
- Open Connections and choose GitHub.
- Sign in to GitHub and allow access.
- Answer Which repository is your website? Only repositories you can write to are listed.
Repositories owned by an organization may need the organization to approve the app first. Ask an organization owner if your repository is missing.
Disconnect
Revoke access at github.com/settings/applications. Commits and pull requests already opened stay on GitHub.
